Hi Sexy Ladies of Summer ! Looks like the rain is finally over and we are getting some beautiful summer days washed with sunshine and warm temperatures. I have been making changes to my makeup that I know everyone can benefit from and would like to share them with you now. Face Instead of wearing a lot of foundation, try using a sunscreen all over and adding concealer only wear you need it, like underneath the eyes and only to lightly conceal uneven skin tone. If you use powder, only apply to the T-Zone and keep your cheeks dewy looking. Cheeks Bronzer is the color Du Jour this season, so I avoid deeper blush tones in favor of shimmery peach or tawny tan hues. You will have a bit more color than usual so play that up, but don't neglect your sunscreen :) Eyes Everyone asks me for eye makeup recommendations and I personally like less this time of year. During the day your makeup will look better if you skip eyeliner and use a eyeshadow above and below the lash line. Add your mascara and experiment with lighter shades that have a bit of shimmer to them across the eye lids. Lips Lipstick contains more pigment than gloss so choose a gloss that you like the texture of, and use a lip pencil all over your lips first. This provides a stain effect that will keep your lip color lasting a bit longer when used underneath lip gloss. Hair With humidity and wanting to be outdoors at the beach our hair can be somewhat uncontrollable. But it doesn't have to be. I tend to wash and add a leave in conditioner on those cloudy days and blow dry after a shampoo other days. Wear your hair up and then let it down later in the day to control frizzy hair. Also, avoiding products that contain alcohol will keep your hair looking and feeling much smoother. I am having a fun filled summer so far and going to Sunday brunch every weekend. There are more street fairs and outdoor activities so wear your summer looks with style and send me your questions and stories. I am looking forward to hearing from all of you! Cheers! Sue
